Overview

Snippets provide the assistant with the knowledge it needs to serve your customers.

Snippet content guideline

The quality of responses is highly dependent on how well the snippets are formulated, quality in = quality out. In order to ensure your assistant answers with a high degree of relevance and correctness, we recommend following the following guidelines:

  1. Limit each snippet to a single topic or concern
  2. Use FAQ-style question-answer phrasing. For example:

    What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
    The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow is roughly 20.1 miles per hour.

  3. Avoid duplicate information between snippets see Duplication detection
  4. Keep the snippets short, this makes it easier for the assistant to find the necessary information in them.

Duplication detection

The assistant performs best when its snippets do not overlap and repeat information. To prevent duplication, each time a snippet is added, it undergoes a check against existing ones. If the new snippet is found to be overly similar to another, it is marked as a duplicate. This duplication can be resolved by combining the snippets into one (the Seirime API will make a suggestion for this) or by updating them individually.
